What is Thermal Corkshield?
Vipeq Thermal Corkshield is a granulated cork exterior coating created in Spain 25 years ago. Cork is a natural insulator among other great qualities such as anti-microbial, fire retardant, sound absorbing, eco-friendly and sustainable. Thermal Corkshield provides your exterior with a thermal break, not allowing hot or cold temperatures to pass through our product to your walls, saving you money on utilities and instantly making your home or building more comfortable throughout the year. Our cork comes from the bark of the Cork Oak Tree in Europe which is hand harvested off the same trees every 8-10 years at Vipeq's own plantation in Portugal. This hand harvesting method allows these trees to live on for a lifetime while releasing an abundance of oxygen and capturing co2 each time the trees are stripped of their bark, making the entire process sustainable and very eco-friendly with no waste or harm to the environment.
